There are multiple chromosomal and structural abnormalities that can be diagnosed at this stage of your pregnancy, and this scan helps you to become more confident of health of your baby.&nbsp; Believe me for most instances, it is one of the most beautiful scan you will ever come across. Can I get this scan done at any time of my pregnancy?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, this scan can only be done between 18-22 weeks of pregnancy.&nbsp; The fetal organs may be of insufficient size and development and pose difficulty in diagnosis before 18 weeks. Later in the pregnancy, it becomes more difficult to visualize details of baby.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. How will the anomaly scan be done?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be asked to lie down on an ultrasound table and with help of ultrasound transducer kept at different angles, the baby will be visualised.
